PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION / ATTRIBUTES
Russ is a towering 6'5", his body cut from the rugged landscape of his origin. He's powerfully built, his sculpted form his Faerie simulacra the pinnacle of idealized muscularity. It was how he came into being. His long pale golden hair which is commonly drawn back in a pony-tail reaches down his back. His unnaturally bright eyes are as blue as glacier ice, his angular features as Nordic as the land from which he was born. He looks young, but he's as old as one can be. Perhaps even older than that.
A classic trait that pegs him as Demihuman straight away are his slightly pointed ears.
He possesses a Norwegian accent, and his hair and eyes always seem to catch the light in an unnatural fashion, always radiant. There is always a fresh sweet scent about him, like mountain flowers on a summer wind, and there's a coolness to the air that surrounds him.

PERSONALITY
Like the cool breeze that seems to hover about him, Cirrus exudes a refreshing gentleness. People don't often notice his size right way, rather the radiance about him and the softness of his features. There is also a noticeable melancholy that hangs over him, a detachment from people. He's guarded, and doesn't tend to share details about himself, nor relate personally to people's experiences.
He's quick to offer help, sometimes to a fault, but he's no fool. In fact, if anything, he's trying to force himself to trust and take a chance... to be surprised by people.
Eloquent, amiable, and caring are traits people generally associate with Cirrus, but he also has a cynical and vengeful side. As quick as he is to forgive, he's also just as quick to dismiss a person as being irredeemable. He can go from being as icy cool as a mountain top to erupting like a volcano, shifting quickly from one extreme to another. All his rage and anger bottled until they explode.
In his younger days, Cirrus developed a 'saviour complex', that he fortunately overcame. Like others his kind born to adulthood, he had to make up for a lot of emotional experiences that Humans take for granted.
A highly inquisitive person, he is well read and scholarly. He's always in the midst of studying and experimenting, but in truth, he's quite far from the serious minded professor, in fact he can be quite childish, even foolish at times, especially when children or "Faerie" are about.

SKILLS
Early on, Cirrus took interest in the field of medicine. He was drawn to helping people, to ease suffering. At first it was for attention, but as he matured it grew into a genuine desire to make the world a better place.
As a Demihuman he became fascinated with the science and biology of his own Faerie simulacra. He wanted to understand everything that separated his physiology from that of a Earthling Human, and he was lucky enough to be able to pursue such curiosities and receive the education to understand them.

ABILITIES
FAERIE ABILITIES
Cirrus' Faerie nature is born of wind and winter, but they originate further back than the arrival of the Earthlings. As a Faerie that existed before Midion was changed, his magical abilities are very potent, and tend to disrupt technology if stays in one place for too long.
He is highly resilient to the cold, much more so than normal for his kind. He is able to cool down or by contrast, warm up an area by altering the temperature of the air. He can summon winds, even produce rain and stir-up storms, if conditions are right. He can also become 'light', significantly reducing his density, allowing him to fly on controlled winds. A method of flight utilizing manipulated density and air pressure. He's even able to become the air for a brief period of time.
Cirrus is connected to the wind, almost as if he's a part of it. He's able to perceive things from it an with the assistance of Shamanistic magic can fine tune it to locate things and extract knowledge from the environment. The sense also gives a heightened awareness of everything around him, being able to read distortions in the air and decipher the world from them. He can see into the elemental realm of air and when he does his eyes burn a bright blue.
"MANCER" - Shamanism & Sacerdotal
Common shamanistic practices include communing with nature and psychometry. His sacerdotal incantations are combined with his medical knowledge, so he employs a combination of magic and science.

HISTORY
The Norwegian winter was cold that year. He could recall the howl of the wind through the trees, the thrashing of the North Sea surf, but his existence before that moment faded like dreams come dawn. It was the same for all Faerie; the fabled fantasy of their lives vanishing in the wake of a new reality — the return of consciousness.
Before the rise of what humanity would call the "Dark Event", the ill-fated moment of merging universes on April 20th, 1945, the world of Midion stirred. The ripples of the moment that would come to pass began to reshape a world frozen in time. The myths that had been forced from Earth and doomed to infinitely replay in a timeless land once more touched upon the reality of the humans whose imagination helped bring them to life.
Whatever he was before, Cirrus could not know. He knew his name, and took his surname from the season into which he came to be, as would many of his kind. Cirrus was not born from the influence of the Earthlings that were brought to Midion, rather he was the product of the Earthlings that once were. He was from a period of time when people still believed, before the death of the old gods, but in Scandinavia, the pagan ways never truly died. Europe, unlike North America yet possessed a spark that could be reignited, and so Cirrus' Alfheim lineage awoke with the faint resonance of the coming event.
Cirrus, a remanent of a mythic past found himself in the German occupied Norwegian city of Bergen in 1945. His first conscious act smashing in the head of Nazi soldier. After that, everything just seemed to fall in place.
Norwegian culture was for more accommodating to the influx of mythic beings than was North American society. Cirrus became an accepted and trusted member of the community, and together he and the Humans pieced together what had happened to the world. He and other Demihumans helped fortify Bergen, it became his home.
A place for higher learning, the resources of the prestigious Bergen University were made available to those who wanted to learn, and Cirrus was among the first to take advantage. He first delved into the myths and legends of Earth and made sense of his origin, attributing his nature to that of the Aelves of Alfheim. His thirst for knowledge eventually took him down the path of understanding Human physiology and the relationship between his kind, a passion that lead to the study of medicine.
Time went on. Bergen University re-opened. The world normalized. Cirrus had become a doctor, and a reputable one at that. Over the decades he had transformed into a productive member of the society, his talents lending to the re-establishment of the country. Human and Faerie had found a balance. They worked together to defend themselves from mythic monstrosities like giants, dragon, and trolls that plagued Scandinavia.
He fell in love with and married a Norwegian woman (Liv Evenstad), and for many years they were happy, until the day that she was found murdered. Vampires had infiltrated Bergen. Cirrus joined the hunt, mercilessly killing all that he found, but no amount death could end his feeling of loss. When news came that the very Vampire that killed his wife had fled the country, Cirrus pursued, and ended up chasing the monster all the way to America. A near impossible journey he survived only through sheer raw will and determination.
America was a different world. Racism was prevalent. Cirrus was not used to being treated like a second class citizen, but he learned his place quickly. All that mattered was ending the life of his wife's killer. His pursuit was lengthy one. Creatures of darkness had many places to hide in the country's shadowy underbelly. It was like nothing he'd ever encountered before. In time, he had to obtain citizenship in order to support himself. Being a Demihuman, he could not work as a doctor. He encountered all manner of prejudice, but remained true to his conviction. He tracked the Vampire to New York and it was there that he caught up with the creature and exposed it for what it was. An elite, the creature used money and power to cloak it's blood-lust. He learned that many were knowingly accommodating to these vile monsters, and destroying them, and anything like them, became his mission in life. He couldn't return to Norway, not after he learned that the Vampire that murdered his wife was originally from America. After that, he became obsessed with learning all he could about their physiology. To see if he could use his knowledge in genetics, virology and magic to destroy their plague.
His work caught the eye of the FBI, who brought in him in as specialist. Eventually, they put him through the training and made him an agent, stationing him in New York. He now works in a task force specifically designed to deal with those creatures that live among and prey on people. Most of the time, he's in the lab, studying and documenting all the creatures they come across. Through his scientific approach in investigating magical creatures, Cirrus has a name for himself.
